R/C Display at Drug Mart

Drug Mart in Willard has approached us about having a Radio Control Display in conjunction with a car wash again this year. This event was  held on June 26th.

Monthly Raffle

The Monthly Raffle is in the process of being revived. The Club President is trying to find out what types of items the members would like to have given away at the meetings. If the amount of money collected during the meeting is not sufficient to cover the cost of the raffle item, the raffle will become a 50-50 drawing that month.

Club Fun Fly and Picnic

With fun and challenging events organized by Jim Souslin and food supplied by "Airplane" Charlie and Dino Bersis, 14 club members and their families enjoyed a great day in the sunshine. Grover Ritter won the timed flight event and Jim Billingsley won the 3+3+1 event. Thank you to Jim, Dan, Charlie and Dino for planning and putting on this event.

Boy Scout TAG Day
(Take off And Grow)

Boy Scout Troop 239, from Monroeville, enjoyed learning about R/C flying. They watched demonstrations of flight and safety as well as trying to fly an R/C aircraft using an R/C trasmitter and a computer simulator. The parts of an aircraft, the four forces of flight and the three axis were discussed. They returned the next month to try flying an R/C plane on a buddy box.
