Club Dues are Due!

The club discussed and voted on a new dues structure for 2012. The dues will be $50.00 for the 2012 flying season. A 10% ($5.00) reduction in the 2012 club dues will apply if your 2012 dues are paid before December 31, 2011. The increase was needed because the field upkeep (mower gas, mower repairs, chemicals, fencing, etc.) is increasing while the membership is declining. If you elect to pay your dues by December 31st , the dues increase amounts to only $1.25 per month.  

A Year in Review, 2011

As I look back over the last year it has been a challenge. A lot of members are getting on in years and some are in failing health. Health problems kept 3 of the 5 Club Officers from attending the November Meeting. We lost one member to an untimely death and several members had family members and/or friends who are no longer with us. The weather started out both wet and windy and stayed that way for much of the flying season. The flying season is pretty much done for now. It's time to start building or repairing our fleets for next years flying season. The one design building and flying contest using the Top Flite Contender Kit has also started.
